Maybe I am looking too deeply at things. Maybe I am not. It just seems to me that Tuesday's inauguration of Barack Obama is becoming very racist. When I looked at the new google header it seems to be as if it delves into his ethnicity. I just don't recall it being like this in the past. I don't recall pictures of Carter with peanuts for his inaugeration celebration, pictures of Bush with anything symbolizing Texas, Clinton with anything symbolizing Arkansas, etc... Do you get what I am saying? There were not pictures, logos etc that symbolized ethnicity. I think it is disrespectful to our new president actually.
In my humble opinion, it seems as if the incoming president should be pictured with nothing other than the stars and stripes, the Presidential seal, the white house, the outline of the United States of America, I don't know, just plain patriotic pictures and logos. Then again, maybe its just me and I am overthinking again.

Do they have different Google headers? Mine isn't of Obama it's of Martin Luther King Jr.

You are right about the google header. My bad on that part, but the rest of my rant I stand behind. They current hype and pictures are geared toward his ethnicity rather than his presidency. It saddens me to see the media do this.
You and I both know I was not happy in the choice of our new president, but I vowed to you and to everyone on election night that I would stand behind and respect and support our new president. And I do, and I honestly feel we are being disrespectful in the hype and hoopla.
You know me, just my $.02
I was just curious, I thought maybe they were cycling more than one today.
You are such a good person and I like the way you look analytically at things. I respect your 2 cents!
GRG:
If there is ANY racism involved in this, it's not perpetrated by whites.
I've seen rappers dissing Bush using the "m/f" word about him leaving the White House.
That's just plain bad taste (no one ever said Rap is a true art form, least of all me)
The MSM is running with this historical event, and will portray it in ANY way that will "feather their cap".
Sad to say, the blacks that think they will get more of a "free ride" with Obama are going to be in for a rude awakening.
(if America doesn't become a socialist state in the process).
BTW- I had MLK on my header too.
Good observations.
