This whole thing may seem odd to all of you, but keep in mind, we did not plant this thing, as best as I can determine the kids missed a gourd last fall and it rotted away and one of the seeds took root in the rocks. The other side of this is I do not have a green thumb in any way shape or form, I have done nothing to this vine other than guide it off of my sidewalk and out of the yard so that it will not be mown over. This is why the whole thing is so fascinating to me!
